The quality, price and degree of protection of a window are not only given by the profile used, although this is often the most discussed aspect. The glass also plays an extremely important role, providing anti-theft and noise protection, as well as in the event of accidents.

In the case of accident protection, the glass is the deciding factor. The difference is in the behavior of the glass following a mechanical action. Thus, the ordinary glass breaks into sharp pieces, the secured glass forms small non-sharp pieces and the laminated glass remains applied to the laminating foil, on the unit of which it is part.

In the case of anti-theft protection, the laminated glass is superior to the other two (ordinary and secured) due to the mode of behavior following a mechanical action, this keeping its position and partially preserving the integrity of the window to prevent the penetration of offenders.
